Broken Umbrellas can be easily turned into a bag strong and useful.
All you need is some shoe lace....

Cut the Fabric off the broken umbrella frame.
You will need 4 old shoe laces or rope.
Lay the fabric flat on the floor and
fold in the sides so that the 8 tips pair up.
Double knot the paired tips.
Repeat until you get 4 knots.
Loop the shoe lace under the knots,
this length is about 20cm or 8 inches,
you can make it as long or as short as you like.
Tie the ends of the shoelace into a tight knot.
Use another shoelace build up the handle
by looping around the first shoelace.

Thread it over and under like this.
Tuck it in when you reach the end.
A short cut is to use old LAN cables and Duct Tape.
Loop some cable under the knots.
Use Duct Tape to wrap the LAN cable.
The Duct Tape method is faster and less fiddly than Shoelaces, great for impatient people!
